Your Sri Lankan adventure begins the moment you land. A private driver whisks you to Negombo, a charming coastal town just minutes from the airport. Check into your boutique beachfront hotel, feel the sea breeze and unwind by the pool. As the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, savour a welcome dinner of freshly caught seafood – the perfect introduction to this island paradise.

Day 02 - Journey to the Cultural Triangle

Depart Negombo and head north into Sri Lanka’s legendary Cultural Triangle. En route, pause at a vibrant spice garden or a rural village to get your first taste of local life. Arrive in Sigiriya and settle into a luxury eco-lodge cradled by dense jungle. As night falls, step outside and lose yourself in a breathtaking canopy of stars, far from any city lights.

Day 03 - Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Village Life

Rise early to climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site soaring 200 metres above the jungle plain. Marvel at ancient frescoes and the legendary Mirror Wall. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in village life – ride a bullock cart, glide across a lake by canoe and join a traditional cooking class. Cap the day with a sunset hike up Pidurangala Rock.

Day 04 - Safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla

Enjoy a leisurely morning at your eco-lodge, perhaps indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment or simply read beside the pool. In the afternoon, board a rugged jeep for a thrilling safari through Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park. Witness hundreds of wild Asian elephants gathering at the reservoir in what is famously known as “The Gathering”, one of nature’s most spectacular wildlife events.

Day 05 - Kandy, the Hill Capital

Drive south through lush countryside into Kandy, Sri Lanka’s last royal capital. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, home to a revered relic of the Buddha, before strolling along the shores of tranquil Kandy Lake. Explore artisan shops brimming with gems, batik and handicrafts. In the evening, be captivated by a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance, a vibrant showcase of local heritage and artistry.

Day 06 - Misty Hills & Tea Country

Wind your way up through mist-draped mountains and endless emerald tea plantations as you journey to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka’s “Little England.” Stop at a working tea factory to learn how the world-famous Ceylon tea is carefully plucked, withered, rolled and dried. Check into a charming colonial-style hotel where crackling fireplaces, manicured gardens and cool mountain air set a wonderfully romantic tone.

Day 07 - The World's Most Scenic Train Ride to Ella

Board the legendary hill country train at Nanu Oya for one of the world’s most breathtaking rail journeys. For three hours, glide past cascading waterfalls, rolling tea estates and dramatic valleys, often with the train door wide open for unobstructed views. Arrive in the charming village of Ella, where the rest of the afternoon is yours – explore cosy cafes, browse local shops or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Day 08 - Ella's Peaks & Iconic Landmarks

Wake before dawn and hike to Little Adam’s Peak, where sunrise paints the surrounding valleys in shades of gold and pink. After breakfast, visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, an extraordinary colonial-era viaduct framed by lush jungle – and watch trains rumble majestically overhead. Spend the afternoon as you wish: zip-lining through the forest canopy, relaxing with an Ayurvedic spa treatment or joining a guided photography tour.

Day 09 - Wildlife Safari in Yala National Park

Travel south to Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s most celebrated wildlife reserve. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling jeep safari through dense scrub jungle and open lagoons. Yala boasts one of the world’s highest concentrations of leopards, alongside elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles and a riot of birdlife. Return to your luxury safari lodge or tented camp as the golden hour paints the savannah in unforgettable hues.

Day 10 - Galle Fort & the Southern Coast

Head west along the palm-fringed southern coast to the magnificent Galle Fort, a UNESCO-listed Dutch colonial fortification brimming with boutique galleries, cafes and atmospheric cobblestone lanes. Wander the ramparts for sweeping ocean views before continuing to your luxury beach resort in Tangalle or Galle. As the day winds down, settle onto your private terrace and watch the sun melt into the Indian Ocean.

Day 11 - Whales, Waves & Wellness

Today belongs entirely to the ocean. Head to Mirissa for seasonal whale and dolphin watching – blue whales, the largest creatures on earth, are frequently spotted offshore. Back at your resort, take to the water snorkelling vibrant reefs or paddleboarding crystal-clear bays. Indulge in a luxurious spa treatment in the afternoon. Sip sunset cocktails on the beach before an optional private bonfire dinner under the stars.

Day 12 - Transfer to Colombo or Airport

Savour one final Sri Lankan breakfast by the ocean before your private transfer heads north to Colombo or directly to Bandaranaike International Airport.
